Vintage Collection Gallery

A museum must be established for the public and future generations to understand the rich heritage of Kalari and Kalari Marma Chikitsa. The museum should showcase items such as Kalari weapons, thaliyola, books, Kalari costumes, pooja dravyangal, abharanangal, angachamayangal, poothara, guruthara, and more, using sculptures and visuals. Additionally, it should include models and visuals of martial arts from around the world.

Yoga Routine

Vaakayurveda maintains that chakras are center points of energy, thoughts, feelings, and the physical body. According to yogic teachings, chakras influence how people experience reality through emotional reactions, desires or aversions, levels of confidence or fear, and physical symptoms. When energy becomes blocked in a chakra, it can trigger physical, mental, or emotional imbalances, leading to symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, or poor digestion. In Vaakayurveda, asanas, the various physical poses in Hatha yoga, are used to free energy and stimulate an imbalanced chakra.

Herbal Garden

At Vaakayurveda, medicines administered to patients are prepared according to traditional yogas and recipes right at the medical center, as mentioned in thaliyolas (palm leaf scripts). All preparations at the hospital are made using conventional methods without modern machinery to ensure 100% efficacy and satisfaction. Most of the plants used for these preparations are cultivated in our herbal garden, whose lush collection of herbs enhances the beauty of the institute.

AYURVEDA TREATMENTS

AYURVEDA TREATMENTS

Panchakarma is a method of cleansing the body of unwanted waste after lubrication. Designed to reduce symptoms and restore harmony and balance, Panchakarma, combined with traditional Kalari techniques, accelerates the healing process. This therapy works best with the use of medicated oils that help eliminate impurities from the body. Panchakarma truly embodies Ayurvedic values and lives up to its esteemed reputation.

MARMA CHIKILSA

MARMA CHIKILSA

Vaakayurveda utilizes a powerful instrument of Ayurveda that originated 5,000 years ago. This process and therapy work with 108 subtle and sensitive energy points to open energy channels in the body known as strotas. Kalari Marma treatment, a well-known traditional method prevalent in Kerala, is primarily used in Kalari Payattu. India’s traditional martial arts and cultural practices endure across the globe, with Kalari Payattu being particularly prominent among them.

DIAGNOSTIC METHODS

DIAGNOSTIC METHODS

At Vaakayurveda, we treat the body holistically based on the ’96 Dehathatwas.’ Modern diagnosis is a complex process involving various tests like X-rays and scans. However, in the Kalari system, Nadi Chikilsa has been used since ancient times. Special emphasis is placed on the ’64 Kulabyasa Marmas’ in our approach.

KLARIPAYATTU

KLARIPAYATTU

Kalaripayattu is the traditional martial art form of Kerala, and its influence is evident in many of the state’s art forms. Historically, kalaris (combat arenas or battlefields) played a crucial role in daily life, where boys and girls were sent to practice without any gender discrimination. As social life has evolved, the role and influence of kalaris have also changed.
